Overview
Over the past decades, many organizations of varied sizes and business domains have embraced and successfully implemented project management methodologies. However, Project Managers often face significant challenges when practicing “traditional” project management in environments where uncertainty and complexity are high and schedule and requirements flexibility is required. The Agile approach comes to address many of these challenges as it embraces change and provides both the principles and the tools which allow project teams to better deal with uncertainty, work in an iterative way, and provide frequent opportunities for changes or refinements of the project requirements and plan.
This training provides a “tool/domain independent” overview of Agile Project Management. It presents the basic agile concepts and principles, with references from agile methods such as SCRUM, DSDM, MSF, DAD, and teaches participant how to successfully adopt a more agile project management style. The handson part of the seminar is delivered through a series of short workshops on SCRUM, one of the most widely used agile methods.
