Master Class: Facilitation skills

 Overview

Learning to facilitate a group, a meeting and/or a course using a tried and tested process is an invaluable skill; particularly as capability and development emerges as the necessary means to grow and sustain organisational process and results. It could be argued that being a good facilitator is a life skill. A good facilitator is skilled with the ability to help people make sense of information, make decisions, agree outputs and in such a way that cuts through typical distractions such as time wasting, unhelpful conflict and office politics. A good facilitator will find a way, using many techniques at their disposal, to create an environment where everyone participates effectively to create new practices and behaviours that will work.
